About Amin

I'm Amin Raoof, a senior software engineer in Aarhus. I work hands-on in React, TypeScript and Next.js, and I take technical ownership of complex applications: architecture, technical decisions, testing and delivery.

Over 15+ years I have gone from freelance websites to leading frontend work in product companies and consultancies, across e-commerce, insurance, healthcare and finance. Twice I have taken over frontend leadership when the previous lead left, and I like inheriting systems and leaving them faster, better tested and easier to work in.

Philosophy

Good engineering is quiet. Users should feel speed and clarity; the developers who come next should find code that is easy to change.

How I work

Break large initiatives into deliverable work, with estimates at project, epic, feature and task level, refined together with Product Owners.

Automated testing and CI/CD as the default: unit tests, end-to-end suites and quality gates on every change.

Performance and accessibility treated as requirements, not polish.

Mentoring through pairing and code review, plus documentation that lets other developers ship safely.

AI-assisted engineering with clear rules: scoped agents, plan-first design documents and human review of every change.

Outside work

Exploring new cultures through travel

Playing piano and experimenting with music

Spending time in nature and hiking

Build things that last, for the people who use them and the people who maintain them.
