Flügger: Nuxt 2 to Next.js 16

Frontend Lead for the rebuild of the B2C webshop in a Turborepo monorepo, serving seven European markets. Server Components by default, a typed OpenAPI client chain with per-request de-duplication and revalidation-based caching, and domain-structured code shared with the B2B webshop. Under stress testing the new platform performs ~40% better than the legacy app, and unit-test coverage from near zero to ~80%. Launch in Q4 2026.

Built features for the new B2B webshop (Next.js, React, TypeScript) through launch and into ongoing development; its shared component library and patterns now underpin the B2C rebuild.

GF Forsikring: Price Calculator and Digital Claims

Designed the Price Calculator's frontend architecture from the ground up: product-specific calculation flows from choosing insurance to a price, with ~90% of features covered by end-to-end tests, and a customer journey improved together with the UX team. Lead frontend architecture for Digital Claims, a server-driven flow for filing claims online, and its internal preview tool for management.

AI-assisted migration workflow

Designed the team's AI-assisted workflow for the Flügger migration: specialized agents and scoped instructions for migration, legacy feature-parity checks, code quality and tests, with plan-first design documents and mandatory human review.

Engineering quality

Projects ship through Azure DevOps CI/CD with Playwright, Lighthouse and accessibility checks, SonarQube quality gates and Trivy image scans; dependencies are kept current and security fixes applied quickly.

  • Took over frontend leadership when the previous lead left: architecture, technical decisions, feature planning and delivery in a team of four, working directly with the CTO and product stakeholders.
  • Led the modernization from Vue 2 to Vue 3, the Composition API and TypeScript, and introduced TanStack Query for server state and caching.
  • Introduced Playwright and built the end-to-end suite from scratch, running in CI against a seeded database in Docker.
  • Coached two backend engineers into full-stack contributors and wrote the frontend handbook for non-frontend developers.

Widgets for CMS platforms

Set up a project that compiles Vue components into Web Components through a Vite component registry, with a GraphQL service, so Ucommerce UI such as a product picker can be embedded in customers' CMS platforms.

Data-heavy workflows

Server-paginated ag-Grid views for large product and catalog lists, a products query builder with nested rule groups, saved filters, an undo system for destructive actions and keyboard-first navigation across every app.

Release confidence

Playwright suites with page objects, data factories and a seeded SQL database in Docker, covering orders, products, catalogs, promotions, stores and settings, run in Azure Pipelines through Nx.

Monorepo and tooling

Helped consolidate the frontend into an Nx monorepo and owned its tooling: Nx targets, Vite, ESLint, Commitizen, Husky and a one-command Docker environment for local development.
