Privacy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This is the personal website of Amin Raoof, Aarhus, Denmark. I measure visits to learn which of my work people read. I do it without cookies and without storing IP addresses.
What is measured
- Which pages are viewed, and when.
- Approximate location from the network: country and region. City only for visits that arrive through a link with a reference code (see below).
- Browser, operating system and device type, derived from the browser's user-agent string.
- The domain of the website that linked here, if any.
- Whether the visit included interaction (a scroll, click, key press, or five seconds with the page visible), and clicks on the CV and external links.
What is never stored
- No cookies or other identifiers are stored on your device for measurement.
- No IP addresses. To count visits, the server computes a one-way identifier from your IP address and browser with a random value that changes every day and is then deleted, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you.
- No third-party analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking. Nothing is sold or shared.
Links with a reference code
Some links I share, for example in a CV or an application, carry a short code such as raoof.eu?v1-j so I can see which channel a visit came from. When such a link is opened, I may receive an email with the time, approximate location and device type of the visit.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends either signal, no page views are recorded. If you open a link with a reference code, only the fact that it was opened is recorded, with the time, country and device type.
Contact form
Messages you send through the contact form are delivered to my inbox by email (via Resend) and used only to reply to you.
Retention, processors and your rights
Visit data is deleted automatically after 12 months. The site is hosted by Vercel, measurement data is stored with Turso (EU region) and email is sent with Resend. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding interest in my work (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
You can ask for access to or deletion of data about you, or object to the measurement, by writing to amin@amin.raoof.eu. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
